Welcome to our family!!!

Chances are that you found this site because of an invitation that a friend of yours personally handed you.  May I say that you have a wonderful friend who is putting their reputation on the line in sharing with you what matters most to them.  I know it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what that is.  We are a church after all.

BUT, what we're not is a bunch of religious weirdos.  We're not people who hold picket signs with odd religious phrases on them.  We're not people who hear voices telling us to do things.  Nor do we have special sneakers, capes and fruity punch to give you while we wait for the next comet to come and get us.  We do, however, have a sense of humor.

We're people just like you.  We eat and work in the same places.  Our kids go to school together.  We probably even like some of the same movies.  We're just an everyday group of imperfect people who have found a common bond in Jesus Christ.  That may sound a little odd and may or may not make sense, but if you hang around our church for even the littlest bit of time, it won't take you long to figure out what that means.

We believe that from the beginning to the end, the Scripture is entirely about Jesus Christ.  Jesus actually said that He was the subject matter of all Scripture.  And so when you visit us, you can expect to be taught about Christ and what He was doing on this earth.  It is our prayer that you'll come to find joy in seeing just how amazing, marvelous and spectacular our God is.  Let me briefly illustrate what I mean.  When you see the wonders of nature, they often have an awe-inspiring effect that can take away your breath and leave you feeling small but joyful.  In similar fashion our desire is to show you the vastness of Christ so that you leave with a sense of awe and a sense of humble joy. 

So please don't expect anyone to stand up on a stage so they can blow fire out of their mouths.  You won't see any circus acts or gimmicks.  While we enjoy fun and entertainment, we know that we can all get that elsewhere with a lot less cheese-factor.

Consider visiting us.  We're simple.  We're down to earth.  We're excited about making some positive change in this desert.
